Social Media Detox (inspired by a good Australian friend x)

“Do more of what makes you forget to look at your phone.”

Hi lovelies! Today I thought I might try something I have never done or even considered before. It seems a little nerve-wracking just thinking about it but I am going to give it a go. It is going to be hard but I am going to get my mum to put one of those password apps so that I can’t get into any social media apps at all.

As you can see, I have been inspired to detox social media by Daisy Chain Dreaming . Before I start you guys need to follow her and read her Social Media Detox she is the kindest person ever! She is so sweet and helpful, honestly it’s unbelievable.

The reason I have decided to do this is because although I am not the type of person who judges herself by others on social media but I seem to have that sort of thing cross my mind when I am scrolling through the Discover page on Instagram or flipping through stories on Snapchat. But what really affects me the most is the fact that I get addicted once I click on an app. I hate it so much even though I carry on doing it. I also feel like I procrastinate so much because of social media which then leads me to losing sleep and rushing to get things done at the last minute. Sometimes I start to stress about things for no reason and then have tiny stress/panic attaks when I don’t manage to get things done. When I say for no reason, I mean U don’t actually know what the reason is. But it happens and I don’t want to have to deal with it forever.

That’s why I am going to do this detox. No more Instagram for a week. No more Snapchat for a week. No more WhatsApp for a week. No more blogging for a week. That’s going to be tricky but managing everything in the future is going to be even harder if I do t figure out a way.

I hope you understand what I am trying to do here and I k ow this might affect my following on Instagram because I follow all my followers back but I know all of you guys are lovely followers and will understand. Please don’t unfollow me because of this❤️

I am going to start at the end of the day on Monday and I will let you guys know on Instagram when I start🙈 I will also updat you in my next blog post.
